Rehearsal on 3/19

I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing break. But now down to business. First, there is a new seating plan for both rehearsals and the concert. Be sure to get a copy on your way in to rehearsal and find your new seat (if you have been moved). There will also be a part reassignment for flutes on the Woodward piece You Were There. Finally, we have five regularly scheduled rehearsals left before our concert on 4/22. Tonight's rehearsal will feature:

Country Gardens, Grainger
Scenes from the Louvre, Dello Joio
Fandango, Werle
Suite for Military Band No. 2, Holst
You Were There, Woodward

Following a short break we will sightread the following selections:

Ride, Hazo
Corcoran Cadets, Sousa

Scenes from the Louvre by Dello Joio

You Were There (mm 83-end) by Woodward

So far it seems as if we will be programing these works for our concert on 4/22. It is probable that Mr. Hilkert will conducting one more selection in addition to Scenes from the Louvre.
